This 1,500 mile ride is 100% paved and makes a large circle through the south-central part of Alaska. It offers the rider the opportunity to experience the diverse areas of coastal and interior Alaska. Ride past the tallest mountains on the continent, visit historical gold rush areas, and ride the epic Thompson Pass in and out of the quaint fishing town of Valdez, Alaska. In eight days of riding, you will experience more of Alaska than most Alaskans!

ARRIVAL DAY

DAY 1 - Arrival for your guided motorcycle tour starts today in Anchorage, Alaska by mid-afternoon. Hotel check-in. Meet the other touring members and the MotoQuest staff at the Welcome Dinner at one of Anchorage’s premier restaurants.

DAY 2 - Anchorage to Seward: Ride south of Anchorage to the Kenai Peninsula on the Seward Highway, a National Forest Scenic Byway. Mountains, glaciers, lakes, and rivers galore. Stay in Seward.

DAY 3 - Seward to Talkeetna: Ride from a quaint fishing town to the springboard for mountaineering in Alaska - Talkeetna. You will be surrounded by the Chugach Mountains and Talkeetna Mountains most of the day before arriving in the small hamlet of Talkeetna. Stay in Talkeetna.

DAY 4 - Talkeetna Free Day: Take time to ride around Talkeetna, exploring Hatchers Pass or Broad Pass or Trappers Creek Road. Or, go flight see-ing, river rafting, or jet boating. Talkeetna is the THE HUB for fun activities and we know you will love this vivacious wilderness town. Stay in Talkeetna.

DAY 5 - Talkeetna to Chena Hot Springs: Ride from the mountain climber's Mecca to the historical gold rush city of Fairbanks. On the way we will pass by Denali, stop for a photo opportunity at Denali National Park, and cross the epic Alaska Range at Broad Pass on the Parks Highway. Hope you remembered to bring a swimsuit so you can soak in the healing waters at Chena Hot Springs at the end of the day! Stay in Chena Hot Springs.

DAY 6 - Chena Hot Springs to Denali Highway: Ride on the Richardson Highway, another National Forest Scenic Byway through the scenic Alaska Range at Isabel Pass. Stay at a remote lodge on the Wild and Scenic Delta River system.

DAY 7 - Denali Highway to Valdez: We will pass several more of the tallest peaks on the continent, these being within the largest U.S. national park: Wrangell - St. Elias. Enjoy Thompson Pass, arguably one of the best scenic paved rides in the world. Glaciers and cascading waterfalls abound. Stay in Valdez.

DAY 8 - Valdez to Matanuska Glacier: Motorcycle your way through Thompson Pass to the Glenn Highway, our final National Forest Scenic Byway on the trip and considered to be one of the top ten scenic roads in North America. Stay near the Matanuska Glacier.

DAY 9 - Matanuska Glacier to Anchorage: Take the opportunity to walk on the Matanuska Glacier and ride the spectacular Glenn Highway. Ride past glaciers and mountain tops all the way back to Anchorage. Farewell dinner this evening. Stay in Anchorage.

DAY 10 - Fly Home or keep the dream alive! The next motorcycle adventure vacation awaits.
