Our Brazil Surf and Turf Explorer is designed for those who want to sample both the interior and coastal delights of this lively South American gem. Investigate the history of Ouro Preto, swim under waterfalls in the rolling hills of Minas Gerais, stroll the cobblestone streets of the UNESCO World Heritage town of Paraty and relax beach-side along Brazil’s scenic coast, this ride offers a little of everything. Our Explorer format features two and three night stays in regions that offer the rider a long list of choices that can only end up in fun. This is an all-paved itinerary.  Pack your mesh riding suit and your sunscreen and swim suit.  Brazil’s summer awaits you, while winter closes in at home.

THE ITINERARY

ARRIVAL DAY

DAY 1 - Arrival in São Paulo at Guarulhos International Airport (GRU), transfer to Hotel. Welcome Dinner this evening. Stay near Igaratá.

DAY 2 - Igaratá to São Bento do Sapucaí - 180 miles

Ride into the mountains to the sleepy scenic villa of São Bento do Sapucaí. Stay in São Bento do Sapucaí

DAY 3 - São Bento to Sapucaí to Guapé - 140 miles
Ride mountain roads to rolling landscapes as you journey further into the heart of Brazil. Stay at the shores of a reservoir in the peaceful town of Guapé. Stay in Guapé.

DAY 4 - Guapé to Tiradentes

Ride the back roads of Minas Gerais through hills and mountain country to the small historical city of Tiradentes. Stay in Tiradentes.



DAY 5 - Tiradentes to Ouro Preto - 100 Miles

Again we will enjoy some great back roads all the way to the UNESCO world heritage site of Ouro Preto. This fascinating city was the fountain of gold throughout the Portuguese colonization. Its baroque architecture makes it stand out amongst the historical cities in Brazil. Stay in Ouro Preto.

DAY 6 - Ouro Preto Free Day - Up to 150 Miles

Again you are faced with tough choices: go riding, go exploring or both. You’ll have the opportunity to tour the old gold mine, an experience not for the faint of heart. Stay in Ouro Preto.

DAY 7 - Ouro Preto to Aiuruoca - 180 Miles

We set our sights on riding the backroads of pastoral Brazil today and stay in the countryside where you watch Tucons fly by... Stay in Aiuruoca.

DAY 8 - Aiuruoca FREE DAY - Up to 150 Miles

Ride, relax, or both. There are waterfalls and caves and roads to explore. There is also an world-class motorcyclist's road we know of...Stay in Aiuruoca.

DAY 9 - Aiuruoca to Paraty - 200 Miles

Get ready to descend to the coast and begin the "Surf" part of your quest. The ride itself to Paraty is a delight, and what awaits is a very special nook of Brazil rich in history. Paraty is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and was the depot for all of the gold collected in Ouro Preto to send to Portugal. This picturesque sea side town is the launching pad for a plethora of boating, beaching and riding opportunities. Stay in Paraty.

DAY 10 - Paraty Free Day

We have one free days here, so you can opt to go snorkeling, boating, relaxing, or riding. Or, just stroll this Colonial Gem. This place is made for relaxation. Stay in Paraty.

DAY 11 - Paraty to Ilhabela - 95 Miles

Ride from one paradise to another. Enjoy coastal riding for a few hours before loading your motorcycle on a ferry and arriving at Ilhabela. If you like the beach lifestyle, coastline and islands, you have arrived. Stay in Ilhabela.

DAY 12 - Ilhabela Free Day - Up to 100 Miles

Again, tough choices abound. Beach, Boat, or Ride? Or All?!

DAY 13- Ilhabela to Igaratá - 170 Miles

Don't think that just because this is the last day of the ride, its going to boring. Oh no. Get ready for more great riding as you head to Igaratá. Farewell Dinner near Igaratá.

DAY 14 - Departure Day

Head home or keep the dream alive.
