Quick Facts about ‘Select’ Tours – I am already familiar with MotoQuest, so what is different about these tours?

Low impact on your schedule. Arrive at the starting location on Saturday, head home the following Sunday allowing the adventure to only impact one calendar week on your schedule, maximizing your paid time off.

Greater flexibility on inclusions. More and more we are seeing riders local to the arrival or departure destination looking to take part in our adventures. By making previously inclusive items such as local lodging and rental motorcycles optional, this format provides greater flexibility on customizing your package specifically for what you need and nothing you don’t.

- Rental Motorcycles – Don’t worry, you can still rent any of our adventure fleet for the ride, we are just making it easier than ever for riders to use their own motorcycle without confusing pricing.

- Local Lodging – By making the last night of lodging optional, those who are local to the staging location will not need to pay for an unnecessary night of lodging. For those out of towners, if you want to get back home as soon as possible you will have the option to fly out the same evening we finish our tour giving you all day Sunday to ease back into real life. To accommodate this we will host our Farewell dinner the last night on the road.

Don’t worry, all of the Baja programs you know and love are still available as full package deals with our standard inclusive list. We only offer these new Select tours to welcome a wider audience looking to experience MotoQuest in a more flexible way.

The Route:

This MotoQuest motorcycle adventure features the best paved riding roads from the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula to Southern California. Along the way, you will experience great riding, desert solitude, beaches, warm temperatures and authentic Mexican cuisine.

Road Conditions: This motorcycle tour features all paved roads with mild elevation changes. Open desert roads are the order of the day.

ARRIVAL DAY

DAY 1 - Your motorcycle adventure starts by arriving in San Jose del Cabo this day. Don some sandals and grab a margarita poolside! Welcome Dinner this evening, where you can meet all members of the group. Stay in San Jose del Cabo.

DAY 2 - San Jose del Cabo to La Paz: Get aquainted with your motorcycle and head out on the road! The tour takes some fantastic side roads all the way to La Paz. Check out the port city of La Paz this afternoon. Stay in La Paz.

DAY 3 - La Paz to Loreto: Today starts with riding through big desert. World class twisties along the Sea of Cortez await, making for a strong finish of the day. Stay on the shores of the Sea of Cortez near Loreto.

DAY 4 - Loreto to San Ignacio: Be ready for the best day of motorcycle riding so far. Along the way, visit the Eiffel church in Santa Rosalia and the old Spanish mission in Mulege and awesome vistas of the Sea of Cortez. Stay in the oasis of San Ignacio.

DAY 5 - San Ignacio to Bahia de Los Angeles: Leave the historic Spanish Mission town of San Ignacio and enjoy a full day of great weather and more pristine desert vistas. Arrive in Bahia de Los Angeles and walk the beach at sunset. Stay in Bahia de Los Angeles.

DAY 6 - Bahia de Los Angeles to San Felipe: Ride up the Sea of Cortez through rugged, desert country. Desert vistas and coastline are the order of the day. Stay in San Felipe.

DAY 7 - San Felipe to Julian, California: Ride some lovely roads to the border with Mexico on route 3 through vineyards. Cross over into the USA at Tecate and continue on to the small town of Julian. Be ready for great roads as you climb to the quaint mountain town of Julian. Stay in Julian. Farewell Dinner in Julian this evening

DAY 8 - Julian, California to Long Beach, California: Ride through the mountains on the best roads in Southern California. Optional Lodging available in Long Beach, CA upon request.
