DAY 2 - Anchorage to Talkeetna: Get the bikes, load the support vehicle and head north! We will spend the night in the quaint town of Talkeetna. If the weather is good, consider a world-class flight see of Denali - the tallest peak in North America! Stay in Talkeetna.
DAY 3 - Talkeetna to Fairbanks: Today we will ride past Denali (Formerly Mt. McKinley), North America’s tallest peak. Stop for lunch near Denali National Park. Continue north to Fairbanks. Stay in Fairbanks.
DAY 4 - Fairbanks to Chena Hot Springs Resort: We have a short riding day today, so we can visit the sights in Fairbanks (University Museum, Pioneer Park, Historic Downtown), check out the Alyeska Pipeline, and arrive early at the resort so we can hit the Ice Museum, Hot Springs, add a massage or many other activities. Stay at Chena Hot Springs Resort.
DAY 5 - Chena Hot Springs to Tangle Lakes: After visiting the town of North Pole, we will continue south on the Richardson Highway through stunning river deltas and remarkable Isabel Pass. The scenery is fantastic! After a great ride, we will stop for the night at the remote Tangle River Inn. Here you will have a silent night and magical view with all the comforts of home, one of the favorite stops of the tour! Stay in Tangle Lakes.
DAY 6 - Tangle Lakes to Valdez: A world-class ride into Valdez with more spectacular views of glaciers, waterfalls, mountains and picture-perfect vistas. We will stop at Worthington Glacier where you can walk right up on the glacier! As we ride through Thompson Pass and Keystone Canyon, there will be many stops for endless photo opportunities. We will stay in the heart of Valdez, right on the harbor, where you can watch the fishing boats arrive with their daily catch and chat with the locals about life in Valdez. Stay in Valdez.
DAY 7 - Valdez to Glenn Highway: Leaving Valdez is just as amazing! We climb Thompson Pass gaining 2,000 feet in elevation in less than 4 miles and ride past Worthington Glacier. Our lodge for the night is located on the Glenn Highway remotely located about 70 miles from the nearest grocery store. Here, we will dine on a gourmet dinner while we bask in the mountain views and sip adult beverages from the wrap around porch at the lodge or by a roaring fire. Stay near Matanuska Glacier.
DAY 8 - Enjoy a fabulous breakfast at the lodge and head back to Anchorage. We will pass Matanuska Glacier and stop at the Musk Ox farm where you can see the animals up close, visit the information center and gift shop, too. Arrive in Anchorage, check into the hotel and gather for our premier farewell dinner. Stay in Anchorage.
