Motorcycle Storage Core Policies and Requirements

  • MotoQuest must confirm your storage eligibility before storing your motorcycle. Please no drop ins. Request to Book Storage online to start the process.
  • Motorcycle Storage Contract must be initiated by the motorcycle owner, proof of ownership via a photocopy of title required.
    • Motorcycle Title and Vin Verification required for storage
  • Motorcycle owners understand the requirement to maintain insurance on their motorcycle while it is in storage and that MotoQuest will not be responsible for any damage due to fire, theft, wind, water, riot, unlawful disturbance of the peace, or any other situation that may occur. 
    • Motorcycle Owner must release liability and hold MotoQuest harmless for any and all potential damage or theft of motorcycle
  • Motorcycle must be clean and free of loose debris. Classification of unacceptable condition is solely at the discretion of MotoQuest and its agents.
  • Motorcycles that are in storage or without payment will be subject to an abandoned vehicle claim of ownership. Per Alaska Statutes Title 28, Chapter 11. You will have 30 days to rectify your account before ownership is legally transferred to MotoQuest. Any fees incurred in the interim will be your responsibility to pay in order to release the abandoned vehicle back to you.
  • Motorcycle Owner understands this is not a come and go storage facility, if the motorcycle is removed from our facility the current storage contract is complete and a new storage contract can be initiated if both parties agree.

Motorcycle Eligibility

  • MotoQuest is accepting 2 and 3 wheeled motorcycles subject to space availability
  • MotoQuest is willing to entertain 3+ wheeled vehicles on a case by case basis
  • Fill out a Request to Book Storage online to verify eligibility if you are curious

Motorcycle Luggage Storage

  • Motorcycle Luggage is accepted with our Motorcycle Luggage Add On:
    • Motorcycle Luggage add on includes the following:
      • 1 tank bag, attached
      • 2 panniers, attached 
      • 1 top box, attached
    • Motorcycle luggage must be stored empty
      • Rider understands they are to remove all personal belongings from the motorcycle and that MotoQuest will not be responsible for any missing personal belongings
  • MotoQuest does not allow storage of any riding gear or loose liquids or chemicals with your motorcycle this includes but is not limited to
    • Helmets, jackets, gloves, riding pants, boots
    • Auxiliary fuel
    • Chain clean or lube
    • Cleaners or solvents
    • Bear Spray and other similar devices
    • No food or drink

Motorcycle pick up and drop off

  • Pickup
    • MotoQuest must confirm your storage eligibility before storing your motorcycle. Please no drop ins. Request to Book Storage online to start the process.
    • MotoQuest will book a day and time with you after your reservation is processed to drop off your motorcycle
  • Dropoff
    • To schedule your pickup call 562-997-7368 or email [email protected] to set a day and time for motorcycle storage pickup. MotoQuest will work with you to make a pickup plan.
    • If MotoQuest is unable to accommodate your pickup request within 7 calendar days no additional storage fees will be invoiced.

Billing Options

  • Minimum 1 month commitment, no prorated months.
  • Month defined as the 1st until the last day of the referenced month.
  • Monthly Storage fee is due on or by the 1st of each month.
    • Automatic monthly payments available through our invoicing software.
    • After 10 days of non payment the vehicle is considered Abandoned.
  • Full season storage bookings looking to take advantage of the 10% discount are required to pay the entire invoice before bringing the vehicle to our facility. 

Failure to Pay and Abandoned vehicles

  • Motorcycles that are in storage without permission or without payment will be subject to an abandoned vehicle claim of ownership. Per Alaska Statutes Title 28, Chapter 11. You will have 30 days to rectify your account before ownership is legally transferred to MotoQuest. Any fees incurred in the interim will be your responsibility to pay in order to release the abandoned vehicle back to you.
    • Abandoned vehicles may be kept outside our facility or in another facility of our choice.

Motorcycle Cleanliness Policy

  • Motorcycles must be stored in a reasonably clean condition. If you have caked on mud and or debris falling off your motorcycle when it is being moved or interacted with, it will be considered in an unacceptable condition. Classification of unacceptable condition is solely at the discretion of MotoQuest and its agents.
  • Motorcycles must be delivered and stored in reasonable mechanical condition and should be free of any leaks or seeps of any part of the motorcycle holding fluids or other corrosive substances. If any motorcycle is found to be leaking or seeping fluids it may be subject to a Motorcycle Storage Hazard Exception. Classification of Motorcycle Storage Hazard Exception is solely at the discretion of MotoQuest and its agents.

Motorcycle Storage Hazard Exception

  • If your motorcycle experiences a small Storage Hazard such as leaking fluid or another cleanliness and or safety concern we will make contact with you to rectify the situation.
    • Small issues that do not pose an immediate safety or cleanliness concern such as a minor drip or seep of a liquid or chemical; MotoQuest will notify the storage customer and they will be given 30 days to come into compliance with our Motorcycle Cleanliness Policy or the storage contact will become void and continued storage of the vehicle will be considered without permission and may be subject to Abandoned vehicle policy
    • MotoQuest will work with you on access to resolve the issue or to take the unit somewhere for the issue to be resolved. The motorcycle can be returned as soon as the issue is resolved by contacting us for a new intake appointment. No storage discount applies while the unit is out of our facility as your spot is still saved for you.
  • If your motorcycle experiences a large Storage Hazard such as large amounts of leaking fluid or another cleanliness and or safety concern we will make contact with you to rectify the situation.
    • Large issues that pose an immediate safety or cleanliness concern such as a large leak or expelling of a liquid or chemical; MotoQuest will notify the storage customer and they will be given 24 hours to come into compliance with our Motorcycle Cleanliness Policy or the storage contract will become void and continued storage of the vehicle will be considered without permission and may be subject to Abandoned vehicle policy.
    • MotoQuest will work with you on access to resolve the issue or to take the unit somewhere for the issue to be resolved. The motorcycle can be returned as soon as the issue is resolved by contacting us for a new intake appointment. No storage discount applies while the unit is out of our facility as your spot is still saved for you.

Battery policy

  • For those adding Battery Maintenance, your motorcycle will be load tested upon intake to help ensure the battery is in good shape for the winter.
  • Your motorcycle will be rotated through a trickle charger over winter, but under no circumstances will MotoQuest be responsible for the failure of your battery. Battery maintenance does not guarantee the long term health of your battery.

Fuel Policy

  • MotoQuest recommends riders use a fuel stabilizer in your motorcycle during storage.
