Steve Thomas was born and raised on the Western Cape, South Africa.
He quit the high-paced high-rise life of Johannesburg for the come-as-it-may carefree lifestyle of a freelance tour guide. Always optimistic and with incredible knowledge of the culture, peoples and geography of South Africa, spending time with Steve is not only fun, but truly educational.

Experience/Expertise: Steve started his first job in apple farming. He got into insurance and learned that an "Underwriter," had nothing to do with burying people! For more excitement and travel he got into Re-Insurance and specialized as a Liability Facultative Underwriter for 17 years. At 43, he took a Retrenchment Package, moved back to Cape Town, did a First Aid/CPR course and trained as a Tour Guide. Ten years of guiding later, he has had a blast and is trying to get into a motorcycle saddle as much as possible!
